The Short Version

We collect zero data. NS4 Companion works completely offline. Your setlists, settings, and usage are stored only on your device. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. Your data is yours alone.

Information We Collect

None. NS4 Companion does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or usage data. The app operates entirely on your device without any connection to external servers.

Data Storage

All data created within the app — including setlists, program configurations, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. This data is:

  • Stored only on your device
  • Included in your iCloud backups if enabled
  • Deleted when you uninstall the app
  • Never transmitted to us or any third party

Network Access

NS4 Companion does not require or use an internet connection. The only network-related functionality is MIDI communication with your Nord Stage 4 keyboard via USB or Bluetooth, which is a direct local connection.

Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app contains no:

  • Analytics or tracking code
  • Advertising SDKs
  • Third-party login services
  • Crash reporting services

Bluetooth and USB Access

The app requires access to Bluetooth and USB to communicate with your Nord Stage 4 keyboard. This access is used exclusively for:

  • Detecting and connecting to MIDI devices
  • Sending MIDI messages (program changes, control changes, clock)
  • Receiving MIDI messages (for MIDI Learn functionality)

No data from these connections is stored, logged, or transmitted.

Sharing Features

When you use the setlist sharing feature (QR code or JSON export), the data is shared directly between devices. We do not see, store, or process any shared data.

Children's Privacy

Since we collect no data, NS4 Companion is compliant with children's privacy regulations including COPPA. The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our data practices, we will update this policy and notify users through the App Store update notes. Given our commitment to privacy, any changes would only be to further strengthen your privacy protections.
